Bronny James shared his expectations for the upcoming NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers. As the team still needs to strengthen its roster, Bronny is determined to earn a meaningful role alongside his father.

After a solid rookie campaign, Bronny looks forward to contributing more and helping the Lakers improve in the new season. He believes the franchise has what it takes to do better in 2025–26, especially after reaching the first round of the 2024–25 playoffs without advancing further.

The son of LeBron stays positive

In an interview with ESPN, Bronny made it clear that he is fully committed to succeeding with the Lakers. As the son of one of the NBA’s greatest players, he feels a special bond with the team.

“Obviously, being on the team, I think we’re going to come back even better than we were last year… We just have to come in here with a purpose, ready to work every day and ready to improve.” There’s no doubt that LeBron James’s mentorship has guided Bronny both on and off the court. His father’s intention seems clear: he wants Bronny to grow into a Lakers legend.

Bronny was drafted with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. His early stats are promising—he averages 2.7 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game, with a 31.3% shooting percentage.

Amid rumors of a potential LeBron trade, Bronny remains focused on his own goals. Many speculate he might take over his father’s role once LeBron retires or moves to another team. For now, Bronny is committed to carving out his own legacy in Los Angeles.
