According to a lip reader’s claim, Prince Harry explained something to Meghan Markle regarding royal protocols in 2018, during their appearance as a couple on the Buckingham Palace balcony at their first Trooping the Colour.
A new documentary about the couple gathered several lip readers to analyze conversations of the British Royal Family at various events. According to The Express, they discovered that some family members discreetly discussed certain topics during these public appearances.
A conversation that is no longer private
In the summer of 2018, just weeks after her wedding to Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex made her debut at Trooping the Colour. There, lip reader Nicola Hickling revealed what the couple said in Channel 5’s recent program “Lip-Reading the Royals: The Secret Conversations.”

According to Hickling, when the Royal Family was at Buckingham Palace for the RAF flypast, Harry was explaining to Meghan about upcoming British royal social events.
“What’s going to happen is that the Paras will fly over,” said the lip reader, adding that the Duke made hand gestures as he spoke. Meghan responded with a simple, “OK.”
Another conversation that did not go unnoticed by the lip readers took place during the Remembrance Sunday service in November 2018. Hickling interpreted the couple’s exchange that day.
According to her, Meghan advised Harry: “Make the most of the situation.” He responded: “Today?”, and she said: “Do it tonight.” Then he asked: “Do you realize this is the end?”, and she replied: “Yes, I know.”
Apparently, according to royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop, this conversation referred to the couple’s plans to leave the Royal Family.
