With only weeks remaining, the Mexican prepares his body and mind to face Crawford in the best possible way and secure victory. The intensity of his routines continues to grow, as he must prepare thoroughly to avoid any surprises.

Strong training for a strong opponent

According to Mundo Deportivo, Canelo Alvarez follows very demanding training sessions. Even though he is already in shape, he works on his endurance and other critical aspects ahead of the fight with Crawford.

Saúl Alvarez is the favorite, and he does not want to disappoint his fans. That is why he pushes himself to the limit physically and technically during his Las Vegas camp. Reports indicate that he enhanced his discipline with special training sessions, focusing on endurance and mobility to counter his opponent’s speed.

He practices movement and speed drills, and sparring with boxers who have a style similar to Crawford’s. He also completes power exercises, gym sessions to improve coordination and strength, and track running.

“We are working a lot on legs and full-body mobility… to enter, exit, and stay agile. Crawford is a slippery opponent, but he also knows how to trade punches,” Canelo Alvarez said.

Through his Instagram account, the Mexican boxer shared images showing the intensity of his training, getting closer to his optimal fight level before stepping into the ring with Crawford. Since Crawford moved up two divisions, Alvarez’s discipline must now be even greater.
