Patrick Mahomes doesn’t just throw impossible passes—he throws hope. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback showed once again that his impact goes far beyond the field. After a 31-0 shutout win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes delivered a victory off the field with the sixth edition of his Mahomies Gala. There, he raised and donated $1,508,000 to more than 20 charitable organizations. The gesture, highlighted by Essentially Sports, reinforces why Mahomes is much more than just an MVP.

The gala, held at the Kay Barnes Grand Ballroom in Kansas City, brought together figures like head coach Andy Reid and his wife Tammy. Brittany Mahomes was also present, standing alongside the quarterback in every step of his community mission. The foundation 15 and the Mahomies, founded by Patrick Mahomes in 2019, aims to improve the lives of children and underserved communities. The number 15, which gives the foundation its name, is the same number Mahomes wears on his jersey.

Major contributions

This year, the foundation announced the Mahomies Scholarship for 15 students from Kansas City, Tyler, and Lubbock, Texas. Each recipient will receive $10,000 toward their college education. Patrick Mahomes also continues to support programs like Read for 15 and partnerships with FARE to bring food allergy education to the region.

On the field, Patrick Mahomes made headlines as well. With the win over the Raiders, he notched his 93rd career victory, surpassing Peyton Manning as the winningest quarterback under the age of 30 in NFL history. And he did it in style: three touchdowns, including two connections with Rashee Rice, who returned after a long absence due to injury and suspension. One of those passes was shared by the Chiefs as “another week of Mahomes magic,” highlighting his signature no-look throw.

A solid offense

The return of Rice, combined with Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt, has reenergized Kansas City’s offense. Patrick Mahomes once again has depth, rhythm, and explosiveness—just as the season hits its most demanding stretch.

With leadership both on and off the field, Patrick Mahomes continues to build a legacy that blends athletic excellence with social impact. And if this week was just the beginning, the Chiefs have every reason to dream big.
