Pressure answered with work
“The sky’s the limit,” Dak Prescott said about his offense. But he also made it clear that talent alone isn’t enough. “It’s not about pressure—it’s about how we work and the kind of players we have.” The message is direct: if the Cowboys want to go far, everyone needs to raise their game.
The return of CeeDee Lamb plays a big role in this story. He’s a key boost for the Cowboys and for Dak Prescott. The receiver lit up the Commanders with a 74-yard touchdown and totaled 110 yards on five catches. George Pickens, meanwhile, has been a revelation. He’s posted 607 yards and six touchdowns in seven games. Team owner Jerry Jones even acknowledged that Pickens could be in line for a contract extension soon.

Everyone on alert
The defense stepped up after the loss to Carolina. DaRon Bland made the play of the game with a 68-yard pick-six, while Kenneth Murray Jr. and Shemar James each recorded nine tackles and a sack. On the ground, Javonte Williams ran for 116 yards and a touchdown, anchoring an offense that’s been lethal at home—scoring over 40 points in every home game.
But on the road, it’s a different story. The Cowboys have dropped three of four away games and haven’t hit the 40-point mark once. Dak Prescott knows it, and that’s why he’s demanding more. Because while the talent is there, the recent history weighs heavy: Dallas hasn’t played in a Super Bowl in three decades.
With good health and sharp focus, Dak Prescott believes this group can be one of the best. And if the locker room answers his call, the Cowboys might finally stop being a promise—and start being a reality.
