Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are undisputed stars of the Kansas City Chiefs. However, their connection goes beyond the football field. Both recently launched 1587 Prime, a luxury steakhouse in Kansas City that reflects the excellence and competitiveness they are known for. What few expected was that their new business partner would be another sports icon: Stephen Curry.
The Golden State Warriors guard joined Mahomes and Kelce through his Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon brand. The collaboration created a menu of exclusive cocktails that combine the essence of American football and basketball with a touch of elegance and flavor.
A variety for every taste
According to Athlonsports, one of the standout drinks on the menu is the “Big Yeti”, a tribute to Kelce’s nickname. The cocktail mixes Gentleman’s Cut bourbon, rye whiskey, nocino walnut liqueur, demerara cane sugar, and bitters, evoking the sophistication of a classic Old Fashioned with a modern twist inspired by Curry. Other highlights include the “Showtime”, honoring Mahomes, and “The Alchemy”, dedicated to Taylor Swift, Kelce’s future wife.
Patrick Mahomes affinity for Travis Kelce is just the best. They make each other better. It’s rare you get to witness a team & dynasty like this, in your own lifetime for your favorite team… I’m so glad we get it with these guys. Couldn’t love this team more. Destiny. pic.twitter.com/MxmzQpynoB

“I’m not a big liquor drinker, but from what I’ve heard, it’s a really good drink. We obviously wanted an ode to Taylor and how important she is, not just to us but also to this city,” Mahomes said in a recent interview.
The restaurant, opened in September, has earned praise for its culinary offerings and exclusive atmosphere. Meanwhile, Mahomes and Kelce remain focused on their NFL season, with the Chiefs maintaining a balanced record after their latest win against Detroit. Curry, on the other hand, is preparing for his seventeenth NBA season, ready to continue his remarkable career.
