The encounter happened during the Ryder Cup, far from the spotlight of basketball, in a relaxed setting. Flagg, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 Draft and the new face of the Dallas Mavericks. Crossed paths with “His Airness” on the golf course and didn’t hesitate to call the experience “incredible.”

In an interview with Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth, the 18-year-old admitted it was his first direct interaction with Michael Jordan and made it clear that, for him, the legend remains the greatest of all time. “He’s the GOAT,” Flagg said confidently, as reported by TheSportsRush. Although the moment was short, Cooper Flagg was respectful of the icon’s personal space, knowing Jordan was enjoying his downtime. “I just wanted to say hi and thank him for taking a moment to introduce himself,” he added.
