“I have a 14-year-old son, and my son asked me: ‘Why? Why are you doing this?’ For a moment, I didn’t know what to say. I felt sad. I told him: ‘Because I’m the best who ever did this.’ That’s why. He didn’t understand, but I told him: ‘I have to do it, it’s the only thing I know how to do,’” Tyson confessed.
He also stressed the financial side: “Look, I made more money in my 50s than in my 20s. And I only had, what, four fights in my 50s. It’s very interesting. From that perspective, now I’m 60 years old. Money means nothing. I can take care of the people I love.”
The Mike Tyson vs. Floyd Mayweather fight will take place in 2026. However, the exact date has not been confirmed. Still, the matchup promises to be a historic showdown between a boxing legend and one of his toughest rivals, and fans are eagerly waiting for it.
