Olivia Dunne headed back to Baton Rouge with celebration in mind, but ended up starring in a moment that mixed humor with a dose of frustration. The former LSU gymnast, now dating pitcher Paul Skenes, had everything ready to receive her 2025 SEC championship ring. But one unexpected mistake changed the course of the trip—she left her ID at home and couldn’t board the flight.

As reported by Sportskeeda, Olivia Dunne shared the mishap on social media with her usual laid-back tone. In a video posted from the airport, she’s seen leaning on her suitcase with a sarcastic smile. “POV: trying to make jokes after forgetting my ID and ruining the whole trip,” she wrote. Her sister Julz Dunne, who was traveling with her, confirmed the situation with a short but blunt update. “Update: missed flight.”

Just in time for the ceremony

Despite the setback, Olivia Dunne managed to make it to Baton Rouge and attend the LSU vs. Florida game at Tiger Stadium. She wore a fitted gold dress, sleeveless and high-necked. She also spent time with familiar faces like Flau’jae Johnson, KJ Johnson, artist Xandra Pohl, and Kelsey Anderson. Her Instagram caption, “Unc back in the boot 💍,” made it clear that even though the trip started off rough, she salvaged what mattered.

This return to LSU carried emotional weight for Olivia Dunne. Back in March, she was ruled out of her fifth and final collegiate season due to a knee injury. Even without her on the mat, the team defended its SEC title, though it fell short of repeating as national champion. Receiving the ring wasn’t just symbolic—it marked the end of a chapter filled with achievements, sacrifices, and growing media attention.

Still focused

Olivia Dunne is more than just a gymnast. With millions of followers across social platforms, major brand deals, and a relationship with one of baseball’s top prospects, her life moves between sports, entertainment, and digital influence. But this episode shows that even in the middle of all the glamor, everyday mistakes still happen. And like any athlete, what matters is how you respond.

Olivia Dunne may have missed a flight, but she didn’t lose her focus. And in Baton Rouge, she shined again.
