Carlos Alcaraz just won the US Open 2025, but he seems to need something more. He wants to add this milestone of his career to his tattoo collection. That final against Jannik Sinner was very special for him. That is why he wants to immortalize the victory even further, and what better canvas than his own body.

This is not the first time Alcaraz has done this. In 2022, after winning his first Grand Slam title in New York, he tattooed the date on his ankle. In 2023, his Wimbledon victory over Novak Djokovic became eternal on his skin with a strawberry tattoo. In 2024, when he defeated Alexander Zverev in the French Open final, he marked the moment with an Eiffel Tower tattoo.

The long-awaited tattoo moment arrived.

According to reports from Firstsportz, last year he failed to win against Djokovic in the Paris 2024 Olympic final. He also lost to him again in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2025. Those defeats frustrated his desire to tattoo another victory.

Now, as part of his celebration for his recent US Open glory, Carlos Alcaraz plans to get two tattoos representing his two victories in New York: the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

“Well, I said it was going to be the first one, the first Major, but since it was the US Open I won in 2022, I only tattooed the date. I had to do something more… So, I’ll probably do two things because I had a bet at the beginning of the tournament: the Brooklyn Bridge, and obviously, the Statue of Liberty. I’ll do both. And the date, because this one is special. I had to tattoo myself twice,” Alcaraz told ESPN.

The tennis player became the second-youngest man in the Open Era to win six Grand Slam singles titles. The first was Bjorn Borg. He and Sinner are now the first men’s singles duo to split the last eight Grand Slam titles.
