Travis Hunter is on the verge of making his NFL debut. But this week, the rising star also took a major step in his personal life—he became a father for the first time. At just 22, the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver is living a week straight out of a movie script: the birth of his first child, a lighthearted campaign with Trevor Lawrence for Adidas, and the anticipation surrounding his first game as a pro after being selected second overall in the 2025 Draft.

Travis Hunter, who proudly calls himself a “unicorn” for his versatility on the field, was already a media magnet before ever stepping onto an NFL field. Last December, he won the Heisman Trophy, cementing his status as one of the most electrifying talents in college football. His meteoric rise led to a rookie contract with the Jaguars, which includes a signing bonus north of $30 million. On top of that, Hunter secured a $3.2 million endorsement deal with Adidas.

Viral campaign

Sports outlets like The SportsRush have highlighted how Travis Hunter is balancing his professional growth with the new chapter of fatherhood. In the Adidas campaign, he appears alongside Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, showing off dance moves to the tune of “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” by Deniece Williams. The video quickly went viral, capturing both players in a relaxed and fun vibe—just days before a season that promises fireworks in Jacksonville.

Hunter’s former coach, Deion Sanders, also reacted emotionally to the news of the baby’s arrival. “It’s beautiful to see my son become a father,” said Sanders. Who played a key role in shaping the receiver’s personal and athletic development. Beyond football, Coach Prime reminded Travis Hunter of the importance of discipline and responsibility in this new phase of life.

Jaguars chasing wins

With an offense featuring Brian Thomas Jr., Lawrence, and now Travis Hunter, the Jaguars have plenty of reasons to dream big. The team hasn’t posted a double-digit win season since 2017, but the young talent and locker room chemistry could flip that narrative. Jacksonville hasn’t ranked in the top ten for points scored since 2022, but with Hunter on the field, the offensive formula might finally shift.

Travis Hunter enters the NFL with charisma and raw talent. If he can turn that magnetism into explosive plays, he could become an unstoppable force—on and off the field.
