Even though the 2026 NFL Draft is still far off, some experts are already projecting rising stars. One of them is Archie Manning, grandfather of Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning.
Ultimately, the young quarterback will decide whether to enter the 2026 Draft. However, Archie has a clear opinion. Will Arch declare for the Draft after three seasons with the Longhorns?
He’s still rising in college football
According to the New York Post, Arch Manning hasn’t hinted at his future plans. But Archie Manning already shared his belief about what’s coming. “Arch isn’t going to do that… He’ll be at Texas,” he confidently told Texas Monthly.

That statement likely crushed the hopes of several NFL teams that see potential in signing this rising star. Arch, nephew of quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, doesn’t seem in a hurry to join the NFL. He may want to take his time and finish college, just like his relatives did.
Archie Manning also graduated from Ole Miss and started three seasons as quarterback before the Saints drafted him second overall in 1971.
In 2023, Arch appeared in two games as a freshman, but last season, he made 10 standout appearances, showcasing his talent. He threw nine passing touchdowns, added four rushing touchdowns, and recorded two interceptions.
These stats show that Arch Manning has what it takes for a successful NFL career. He appears to have inherited the talent and skills of his famous family, giving him a clear advantage. However, to be considered a top pick in the 2026 or 2027 Draft, he will likely need to complete a full season.
