Andy Reid is determined to return to the field with a stronger team to earn redemption for the Kansas City Chiefs this new season. The loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl hit hard. So, how is the coach working to achieve his goal?

It appears Reid is making firm and significant moves for the Chiefs. In fact, according to a report from Bolavip, he agreed to keep one of the franchise’s key players for the next four years.

Strengthening the Chiefs’ defense

Andy Reid wants to keep his top assets, and this time, he continues to trust the skill and talent of defensive end George Karlaftis. In a press conference, the Chiefs’ head coach highlighted Karlaftis’s value to the team. “That’s a big thing… He’s a great player, he has done a great job here, and he has gained a lot from it. He helps the team with his presence, so everyone wins… He’s relentless — that’s what you get with George,” said Reid.

Reid clearly has full confidence in Karlaftis, as he stated in Sunday’s press conference:“He’s smart; relentless. You can trust and know that he’s dependable, so you can count on him to be there, do things right, and go 100 miles per hour doing them. He’s highly respected in that way.”

Now, Karlaftis will once again be a perfect complement to the team, which features superstars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. In fact, during the NFL season that ended in February, George Karlaftis was one of the key pieces in the team’s defensive unit.
