Apparently, Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton have formed a strong friendship off the court. Why? It seems that their injuries brought them closer. Both are currently recovering—she’s dealing with a groin issue, and he underwent surgery after tearing his Achilles tendon.
This bond was almost expected. When Clark first arrived at the Indiana Fever facilities, Tyrese Haliburton was among the first to welcome her. From that moment on, they built a friendship that even extended to their respective partners.
Constant support in recovery
According to Firstsportz, both American basketball stars support each other constantly. When one plays, the other shows up to cheer them on. In fact, Caitlin Clark attended several Pacers games during the playoffs, and some fans even considered her a lucky charm.
“I’m at the hyperbaric chamber and I’m in one tube and Tyrese is in the tube next to me…I mean he loves basketball..I was on a plane flying back and he’s like yeah I’m already re-watching it I’ll text you what I think. And I’m like bro that’s how you know how bored he is.” pic.twitter.com/A9b5fm1oJk

Unfortunately, Haliburton suffered his injury during one of those games, an injury so severe it required surgery. At that very moment, Clark was also recovering from her own issue. She recalled that experience: “I’m in the hyperbaric chamber, and I’m in a tube, and Tyrese is in the tube next to me… I mean, he loves basketball. He was on a flight back and told me, ‘Yeah, I’m already watching it again, I’ll text you my thoughts.’ And I said, ‘Dude, that’s how you know you’re really bored.’”
Clark revealed that they exchange analysis and information when one of them is playing. Even when Haliburton was injured, he used his time to send her breakdowns of the Indiana Fever games. That’s how he stays busy while helping her grow.
