Nicki Minaj became a trending topic after firing off a series of posts on her X account (formerly Twitter). In them, the rapper took aim at Jay-Z with a barrage of pointed remarks. Since then, fans from both camps have picked sides in the conversation surrounding the two artists.

According to Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z allegedly owes her a massive sum—anywhere between $100 to $200 million. But she didn’t stop at just financial accusations. Minaj used the moment to throw criticism in other directions as well.

Nicki Minaj turns up the heat on Jay-Z

Nicki Minaj accused Jay-Z of “ruining” core areas of the entertainment world—namely hip-hop, football, and basketball. The artist, known for her razor-sharp bars, wasn’t pulling punches. As reported by Sportskeeda, Minaj even claimed in her posts that Jay-Z and his circle have allowed “harmful actions” toward the Black community. These statements, shared without direct context or concrete evidence, ignited even more debate online.

Fans on social media split down the middle. Some backed Nicki Minaj, seeing her as an unfiltered voice willing to confront the establishment. Others felt her posts crossed the line. As of now, neither Jay-Z nor Roc Nation has responded publicly to the controversy.

Minaj uses money to back a cause

In addition to demanding repayment, Nicki Minaj announced she plans to use some of that alleged debt to support students through her #StudentOfTheGame foundation. Minaj said she would help fans pay off tuition and student loans if she receives the money she claims. Beyond the headlines, this move seemed aimed at repositioning her voice not just as a superstar—but as a force for social good.
