The Chicago Bulls legend and six-time NBA champion, Michael Jordan, is back in the spotlight—this time not for basketball, but for the luxurious estate he once called home. And yes, it’s now available on Airbnb. Just don’t expect it to be budget-friendly.

Located in Highland Park, just outside of Chicago, the property—known as Champions Point—was sold in December 2024 for $9.5 million. That price stands in stark contrast to the original $29 million that Michael Jordan was asking when he first listed the mansion back in 2012. After years waiting on the market, the house finally sold—and got a new purpose.

Luxury and legacy collide

Spanning over 50,000 square feet, Michael Jordan’s mansion is far more than a residence. It’s basically a private museum of the lifestyle of the greatest basketball player of all time.

Want to shoot around on a court with the iconic number 23 on the floor? You can. There’s also a full home theater, a state-of-the-art gym, a climate-controlled wine cellar, a cigar lounge—and yes, Michael Jordan’s old home even has its own private fishing pond. These are some of the good things that media outlets like KGW are reporting about the mansion.

So if you’ve ever dreamed of living like Michael Jordan, at least for a few nights, this is your shot. Just be ready: the estate rents for a minimum of seven nights, and the estimated monthly cost is around $150,000.

One plus? Aside from sleeping where Michael Jordan used to sleep, the property accommodates up to 12 guests and promises a championship-level luxury experience.

A property stamped with Michael Jordan’s signature

Even though Michael Jordan no longer lives there, his presence is still felt. From the interior design to the custom finishes, the home is a reflection of his taste for comfort, performance, and exclusivity. The front gate still bears the famous number 23—as if Michael Jordan never really left.

What was once a personal sanctuary for the legend is now an immersive experience for fans, celebrities, and executives who are looking for something more than just a place to crash—especially if they’ve got the wallet to match.

When the legend rents out (if you can swing it)

While Michael Jordan’s legacy continues to grow—through his billion-dollar Jordan Brand and his stake in NBA and NASCAR franchises—his former residence offers a different kind of connection to the GOAT.
