Cristiano Ronaldo wants to play in the Club World Cup. This is another chance for him to showcase his incredible skills on the field. However, his current team is not part of the tournament. Will he seek a one-month transfer to make his wish come true?

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s contract with Al-Nassr ends on June 30, right in the middle of the Club World Cup. Still, thanks to new rules introduced this week, he could leave the team before that date.

A golden opportunity for Ronaldo

All clubs competing in the tournament can register or sign new players between June 1 and June 10. So, it’s not far-fetched to think that the Portuguese star could join a team before his official contract expires. In fact, he might sign a one-month deal just to play in the Club World Cup.

Several teams will make their debut in this tournament, including Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Atlético Madrid. Real Madrid will also compete. Could Ronaldo return to the club where he spent nine years? It’s not impossible.

Additionally, he could face his greatest rival, Lionel Messi, as Inter Miami—where Messi is currently captain—will also compete in the tournament. This would be an absolute dream for fans of both football legends.

Starting this summer, the event will be held every four years, meaning this could be Ronaldo’s only chance to participate. Since he has already turned 40, he might retire before the next edition.
