The name Hulk Hogan is no stranger to social media. The legendary wrestler enjoyed his glory days in the WWE and became an icon of the sport. However, his reputation has plummeted over time, and nowadays, the conversations surrounding him are far from positive. Mark Henry took the chance to mention him during a disco event in Nottingham, England.

The atmosphere at the Saltbox Bar, where Mark Henry and Joe Hendry performed, was electric. The wrestlers-turned-DJs were lighting up the stage with a massive screen as their backdrop. Suddenly, Hogan’s iconic entrance music began to play, and the crowd’s reaction was swift and loud.

Mark Henry sparks reactions for Hulk Hogan

Almost immediately after Hogan’s entrance music blared, the audience erupted into boos and expressions of disapproval. Without missing a beat, Mark Henry borrowed a famous quote from Iron Sheik, exclaiming, “F**k Hulk Hogan!” The reaction was instant: boos turned into cheers and applause, highlighting the audience’s strong dislike for Hogan.

Interestingly, Mark Henry has not been involved in direct confrontations with Hulk Hogan himself. However, a major scandal from Hogan’s past remains fresh in people’s minds—his racist remarks back in 2015. Henry shared with TMZ Sports that he wanted Hogan, now 71, to redeem himself by giving him a second chance to make amends.

Hogan’s response

According to First Sportz, Mark Henry suggested a redemption tour where Hogan would join him visiting universities and law schools with predominantly Black students. This tour could have been a platform for Hogan to apologize for his offensive comments.

But Hogan turned down Mark Henry’s proposal, making it crystal clear that he had no interest in rehabilitating his image or regretting his actions. Henry came to a firm conclusion: Hogan simply isn’t interested in fixing things.

Mark Henry remains convinced that the audience has moved on from Hulk Hogan. Evidence of this lies in the incessant boos that Hogan receives whenever his name surfaces. In addition, other criticisms and experiences tied to the wrestler are consistently negative for Hulkster.

Despite all this, Hulk Hogan seemingly anticipates future appearances in the WWE. However, public rejection stretches far and wide, from Europe to America. To Hogan, this backlash might stem less from his behavior and comments and more from his endorsement of former President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Mark Henry might continue using Hogan’s name to ignite fiery reactions from the crowd.
