Canelo Alvarez recently had social media buzzing with his latest post. In it, the boxing champ flaunts some of his flashiest moves, ones sure to leave his opponents in awe.

The Mexican boxer is taking his fight contract with Turki Al-Sheikh—president of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority—very seriously. To honor this commitment, Canelo is staying dedicated in the gym, perfecting every motion.

Some compare boxing to dancing in the ring. To succeed, a fighter needs to move gracefully across the canvas, dodging opponents with agility. Canelo knows this well, and now, thanks to social media, fans can catch glimpses of his most “feared” footwork during his training sessions.

Canelo Alvarez has more than just punches

In a post titled “A little tap dance at the office today,” Canelo shared a video where he’s seen grooving to techno beats in what appears to be a gym. As the boxer struts through the facility, exercise machines fill the background.

At one point, Canelo takes to the treadmill, flashing his infectious energy as he shakes his shoulders from side to side with playful enthusiasm. It’s clear that while the Mexican star is pushing hard in training, he’s also finding moments within his routine to let off some steam.

Fans Are Loving It

Though the video lasts only a few seconds, it has captured the hearts of his fans. In less than 24 hours, the post racked up over 196,000 likes on Instagram. Many supporters cheered on the champ Canelo and praised his lighthearted dance moves.

One fan gushed, “Love this version of Canelo!! 😂😂😂 Talk noise, dance and whoop a!! 💪🏾” Another couldn’t help but admire the vibe, writing, “Who doesn’t like some good house music? Once it hits you, the whole mood changes.”

What’s Next

Canelo is laser-focused on his training, as the first of five fights in his $400 million contract is set for May. The boxer will take on William Scull in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.

While the lucrative deal is enticing, Canelo’s true goal is to defend his legacy as a champion. To achieve that, he’ll face a series of challengers through 2027. In the meantime, he remains committed to his training—and maybe a little dancing on the side. Who knows? Those moves might just help him secure his ultimate victory.
