Jordon Hudson’s plea
Jordon Hudson‘s intention to “speak for the fishermen” is because, as she herself highlighted, they “have no voice.” Additionally, it seems to be an issue that affects her family. As the former cheerleader is the daughter of a Maine fisherman.
Regarding this situation, Jordon Hudson did not hesitate to raise her voice and directly ask the president to reinstate the funds for the Maine Sea Grant program. These were abruptly cut by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Prayers answered
Following Jordon Hudson‘s plea, it seems the Trump administration heard the call. It’s a serious issue as the elimination of the funds threatens the economic stability and sustainability of local fishing communities.
Recently, she posted an update on the status of this situation with what appears to be good news. “The Trump Administration has agreed to renegotiate Maine Sea Grant Funding. @maineseagrant. It is with a full, full heart that I share this most wonderful news with you all. This effort could not have been achieved without @sensusancollins and her commitment to Maine’s fishing community. Senator Collins, on behalf of all fishermen of Maine, I thank you for your continual support in preserving our heritage, tradition, and economy,” wrote Jordon Hudson on Instagram.
Additionally, Bill Belichick‘s girlfriend also extended her gratitude to the Secretary of Commerce. “Thank you to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik, @howardlutnick, for hearing our pleas. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring that hardworking Maine lobstermen and fishermen will continue to make a living and provide seafood for local, state, and national markets in a sustainable fashion.”
With this progress, it shows that when celebrities raise their voices for worthy causes, they can be heard, as in the case of Jordon Hudson.
