Cooper Flagg is currently the most sought-after player by a team that did not have a great season in the NCAA this year. In fact, there are still 25 games left. But they sit in 12th place, two and a half games away from the play-in. Not an encouraging scenario for a potential comeback.

That’s why Draft projections currently indicate that Flagg could be picked by this franchise. He is a high-potential player who could contribute to a team that continues to face an uncertain future as the days go by.

Cooper Flagg: A key piece to strengthen the team

At the start of the season, the Philadelphia 76ers envisioned a new trio that would take them to the top of the competition. However, injuries to their stars completely changed that reality. Bringing new internal struggles that have been evident in recent weeks.

In their game against the Chicago Bulls (currently in 10th place), the Sixers never managed to regain control, suffering a brutal 142-110 defeat. The game was so disastrous for the team that, at one point, they trailed by as many as 50 points.

That’s when Cooper Flagg’s name entered the conversation. Many analysts examined the game and shared their thoughts on what the Philadelphia 76ers need to bounce back.

One of the most interesting reactions came from Tankathon, the official NBA Draft simulator account. They not only highlighted the franchise’s struggles but also projected Flagg as the best draft option.

This could be a great opportunity for the Sixers, who need to finish among the top six teams if they want to retain their first-round pick. Many are debating whether it’s time to give up or keep fighting, as the team is struggling and still has several games left to play.
