Stephen Curry proved once again that his ability to break records has no limits. The Warriors guard, now 37, delivered 48 points against the Trail Blazers with 63% shooting from the field and an impressive 66.6% from three. Despite the 136-131 loss, the performance placed him above Michael Jordan in 40-point games after turning 30.

According to Sportingnews, Stephen Curry had already surpassed the Bulls legend in 35-point games after 30, but he refused to stop there and added another historic mark.

The weight of team results

Stephen Curry knows his individual feats mean little if the team fails to respond. The Warriors now hold more losses than wins and are sinking in the Western Conference. The lack of consistency worries both management and fans, who fear the future Hall of Famer’s efforts could be wasted in an uneven season.

Curry has always embraced the role of offensive leader, but Golden State clearly needs more than his three-pointers to find rhythm again.

The urgency of change

Stephen Curry has carried the offense for years, but now the pressure shifts to the front office. Mike Dunleavy Jr. and the Dubs face the need for a major move if they want to give their star a real shot at a fifth championship.

Time is running out, and each defeat makes playoff hopes harder. Curry, despite his historic numbers, cannot win alone.

Legacy at stake

Stephen Curry is already considered one of the greatest shooters ever. Yet his legacy also depends on the titles he can still add. Breaking Jordan’s records is a massive achievement, but the question remains whether the Warriors can match his heroics with victories.

The season still offers room to recover, but the franchise must act quickly. Otherwise, Stephen Curry’s brilliance risks being remembered only as individual milestones in a year to forget.
